Took a trip around shopping prior to my 21st and Ramadan as some needed new clothes for Ramadan and bits and pieces for the party like a shawl or two.
Jara Poss - Tekka Market. Tons of fresh fish and raw meat in this market, it's essentially a wet market so it's great for when people need to cook a feast and want fresh meat. It is a massive contrast to the UK where the closest thing to fresh food I get is from the supermarket and a majority of people I know would much rather take the microwaveable feasts over the fresh cooking which is extremely strange but then again that's London I suppose.
It always interests me to see people doing these interviews on the streets. I'm not sure if this is for the news but it looks informal and the interviewer seemed relaxed, potentially a small excerpt from a documentary of sorts, who knows.
The sowing man! This guy can seriously saw very quick and with some amazing quality too.
Complete with the money man!
This lady was applying her new sign
Staring down the garments
Tried my best to get this old guy whilst he was standing still but he started moving when I had focused on him so in the end it was between him and the surroundings. I figured it was acceptable for him to be slightly unfocused.
Love the look of this sowing machine, given no one was around to operate it
Took a quick walk around Nee Ang City looking around after Little India
Sales woman over at the shawl section
Lovely jewels over at Swarovski Crystal, this couple were busy checking out some of the necklaces.
Across the road from Nee Ang City is Paragon, taken inside Metro where a radio show was being hosted over at the Lingerie section. These women were being asked to join in for a chance to win a gift voucher and a free make up session as well as photo shoot!
Guess Coffee Bean and Starbucks were having a good day too
This guy is apart of a two man team but at the time he was on his own. He does football tricks and juggling tricks.
In front of Tangs there was a DJ session to promote a new product I assume although there was no stand but just a DJ and a few people walking around handing things out, definitely not quite like the usual product promotions around here where they tend to have a base and massive signs.
Always interesting how they have a skeleton and they are advertising cream, either the stuff is toxic or it really gets under the skin in a good way. In terms of this photo, the lady turned away the minute she saw me aim the camera, I tried to get her in focus first but the minute she turned I aimed for the Skeleton and luckily got her and the skeleton in frame right before she walked out of it.
Driving back home at the end of the day...
