Recently I visited Preston's in Coal Harbour, Vancouver. It's not exactly a grand restaurant and the food could be best categorised as "comfort food".
The service was great but that's not what you come here for obviously. The poutine were one of the best I've tasted but I wouldn't say the best. As for the butter chicken, authenticity isn't exactly what's looked for here. The naan that comes with it certainly isn't that great but it satisfies. I wouldn't recommend going with the butter chicken though.
The duck is definetly worth going for. It's not just tender but it's certainly well cooked and has a splendid flavor to it. Fillinh and certainly satisfying but it's not exactly so tasty that it would have me coming back for more.
I have no cravings for this place. It's certainly a dining option but it's not first choice and it doesn't have me desiring it. The food is good but just not something that has you wanting more. It is worth checking out though if you need to satisfy a fix and you're in the neighbourhood.
